The Gender Gap With Investing

It’s 2023 let's cut the shit.

Why are women being left out in important financial decision-making conversations? We're over this and it's time to see change!

It’s so important to position yourself financially, in a way that you are making the most of the money you have. The greatest way to do that is by investing. But…. Did you know that women are far less likely to invest than men? There are a bunch of reasons for this, but right now is the time to level the playing field! In fact, it’s actually more important for women to invest their money than anyone else – here’s why!

The Unfortunate Truth – Women Typically Do Earn Less

There are a variety of reasons why women often earn less than males, including the fact that women-dominated professions pay less than male-dominated professions. Also, women take more time off work and they also, unfortunately, continue to be under-represented in high-paying, top leadership roles.

This imbalance has a massive impact on women investing.

If you earn less money, chances are you’ll save less. Investing can help by providing the opportunity to increase your returns on the money you have, putting you in a better position at the end of your career.

The Inequality Of Women

Okay let’s get real, times are changing... But women are still more likely to be the primary person responsible for childcare in a household. Taking time away from your career to care for children can significantly impact your financial future.

It’s hard to save when you aren’t earning any money, and your pay doesn’t increase when you're not working. But that shouldn't mean you can't invest and grow your wealth rather than watch your savings go backwards in a bank!

And Funnily Enough, Women Live Longer Lives Than Men

Women, on average, outlive men. This also means that your savings must last longer too if you are a woman. Men not only earn more and invest more, but they also don't need to make their money last as long. Another reason why investing must set you up financially – for the long term!

The Good News!
