Kids Vaults
WHAT IS A KIDS VAULT?
A Kids Vault is a vault in your Goldie account that you open for a child. You can open one for anyone under 18, like your kids, nieces or nephews.
You look after it. It sits in your account, so the child doesn't need their own account or ID check to get started, and you buy real assets like gold, silver and platinum in it the same way you do in your own vault.
WHEN THEY TURN 18
A Kids Vault stays in your account until you decide to pass it over. The child can take it over once they're at least 18 and have signed up and verified with Goldie. Contact us when you're ready.
REMOVING A KIDS VAULT
An empty Kids Vault can be removed from your account. If there's still something in it, or you'd like a hand, contact us.
Kids Vaults FAQs
Kids Vaults
+ Who can I open a Kids Vault for?
Anyone under 18, like your kids, nieces or nephews. You need your own Goldie account, and you must be over 18 to have one.
+ Does my child need their own account or ID?
No. A Kids Vault sits in your account and you look after it, so there's no extra account to set up and no ID check for the child.
+ Can family send a gift to a Kids Vault?
Yes. Anyone can buy a Goldie gift. For a child under 18, the gift can be attached to the child's email or their caregiver's email. A gift is credit to invest in real assets: it has to be used in a trade within two years, and it can't be withdrawn as cash. The FAQs have the full gifting terms.
+ What's on the snapshot card?
Only what you see on the card: the child's first name and what's in their Kids Vault. No surname, birthday or account details. You choose who you send it to, and Goldie doesn't see who that is.
+ Can I remove a Kids Vault?
Yes, once it's empty. If there's still something in it, contact us and we'll help.
+ What happens when they turn 18?
Nothing changes on its own. The Kids Vault stays in your account until you decide to pass it over. Once the child is at least 18 and has signed up and verified with Goldie, contact us to hand it over.
+ What are the risks?
All investing involves risk. Prices of gold, silver and platinum go up and down, so a Kids Vault can be worth less than what was put in. We don't give personalised investment advice.
